“Horny bastard!”. This is probably some people’s first thought when the door opens and they are greeted warmly by Anis Nasri, the founder and operator of “Biofüralle”, and invited into the apartment near Lochergut. After a brief chat, Anis leads me into the small room where the ordered goods are stored and sold. This is either sent by post or can be picked up directly, so on the one hand there are no shipping costs and on the other hand you get to know each other, which is why I opted for this option.

Biofüralle: The name says it all. The project was launched with the motivation to offer organic food, cosmetics, hygiene and household articles at reasonable prices so that people on a budget do not have to save money at the expense of their own health or that of others. And the young man absolutely succeeded in this endeavor: In the catalog, in addition to the organic-for-all price, most of the products also list the corresponding prices in the supermarket/organic store, and comparing these prices led me to incredulous delight: “How is it possible to offer these products so cheaply?” The homepage explains that, unlike other stores, the company does not use advertising, large warehouses or a retail outlet, which means that prices can be kept as low as possible. There is no need for larger warehouses, as Biofüralle only purchases the goods directly from the manufacturers once the customer’s order has been received. This means that only those products that are actually in demand are stored (temporarily) and do not take up unnecessary space or, in the worst case, even exceed the best-before date. Every two weeks, the collected orders of all customers are bundled, the goods are ordered and are ready for collection and dispatch after a few days.

After everything is packed and paid for, Anis tells me about his visions and plans. Biofüralle is also intended to serve as a platform for exchange between interested parties. You quickly realize that this man is interested in more than just financial profit. For the consumer, shopping at Biofüralle is worthwhile for monetary reasons alone, but this unique service is also highly recommended for people with ideals and an interest in their environment!
