I was delighted when, during a detox weekend in Austria, I came across the news on social media that an organic take-away was opening in the university quarter. And so, of course, I could hardly wait to return to Zurich to admire and taste the delicacies on site.
Klara’s kitchen offers a healthy, light and high-quality alternative for breakfast and lunch for those in a hurry.
The menus are vegetarian, but almost all are also vegan, light, without preservatives and with a highly concentrated nutritional density.
You will find a large selection of superfoods that unfold their power and taste either in smoothies or other treats.
Soup and a lunch menu are served daily.
Smoothies, juices, salads, sandwiches, wraps and various sweets are also on the menu.
At the back of the takeaway there is a fine, small but well-stocked organic store.
I tried the vegan falafel sandwich with a spelt braid from John Baker, as well as the Bircher muesli.
Both were very, very tasty and I’m already looking forward to trying the whole menu.
I also think it’s great that all the sweets are made without any white granulated sugar and only fruit sweeteners (dates or bananas) or agave syrup are used.
Klara and Erich are looking forward to your visit!
