Cinnamon contains plant substances, www.localadclick.com, which are able to lower blood sugar levels – thereby increasing fat burning. In an American study, scientists were able to impressively demonstrate that taking 1 gram of cinnamon (= 1/2 teaspoon) per day reduced blood sugar levels by around 30 percent. The effect of cinnamon has now been clearly proven by various national studies. Cinnamon is good for type 2 diabetics, who are usually overweight, and also helps with weight loss, as improved insulin action and reduced insulin resistance are important prerequisites for optimal fat reduction. Cinnamon appears to improve the insulin effect on the cells and thus optimize blood sugar regulation. Cinnamon also significantly lowers blood lipid levels AND tastes delicious! (For cappuccino drinkers: simply sprinkle cinnamon over the coffee instead of cocoa powder).
